One of the directors, Andrea Roe, works in the nursery and knows all the children individually. She is "hands on" with a wide knowledge of childcare issues and a wealth of experience. Being a mother herself, she fully understands the needs of working parents. Her enthusiasm and dedication to the success of the nursery motivates and leads the staff team.

We have a Manager who deals with the day to day running of the nursery and two deputy managers; one of whom is always on duty to support the Manager.

All the staff are either qualified or working towards a qualification in Childcare. Andrea and Helen are working towards the Early Years Professional Status whilst studying for BA (Hons) in Early Years Childhood Studies. Claire and Sarah both have NVQ3 in Childcare and NVQ4 in Management.

We have a thorough recruitment policy whereby all staff are checked by The Criminal Records Bureau and have a knowledge and understanding of the Children's Act 2004.

Each group has a key worker who is responsible for the co-ordination and planning for the age group. Other nursery assistants support each key worker. Each member of staff remains constant to each age group to enable them to develop close relationships with the children in their care, particularly in the early years, when bonding is so essential to the development of the child.

All the staff must undergo first aid & food hygiene training together with ongoing curriculum guidance and creative training. We have a thorough training programme which keeps all the staff up-to-date with current issues with regard to childcare.
