Preschool have shown great interest in talking about going shopping. We enhanced the provision to provide the opportunity for the children to create 'shopping lists'. They drew different foods and we discussed about healthy and unhealthy foods, whilst recalling experiences of going to the supermarket. So the next time you go take a trip to the supermarket, you may receive a shopping list from your child! ๐Ÿ˜

Parents!! Next week, we are having a Sponsored Wacky Clothes Week to help raise awareness of Autism. There will be a letter and sponsor form going out this week, explaining a little about Autism and how the money raised will help.

It will be lovely to see all the children getting dressed in lots of different clothes, including wearing pants over your trousers or odd socks! It'll be a fun week for the children and it's a great time to celebrate everyone being dressed up differently!

All money raised will go to our local organisation Blue Stars Autism Intervention who are a Not for Profit organisation who provide services for children and families who have been diagnosed or on the pathway of being diagnosed with Autism.

Look what we found! These frogs were hopping around our bottom garden. The children found great interest in talking about the lifecycle of a frog, and learning new words such as, amphibians. Pre-school now have their very own frog spawn which they are observing daily to watch them grow.

What Parents Say

  • Sonia

May I take this opportunity to thank you and your team for the excellent care that you have provided for both our children. Your ethos and drive to always do better is commendable and rarely found! We would never have any hesitation in recommending La Petite to others and so it with some sadness that we say goodbye.

  • Clare & Peter

We wanted to say a sincere “thank you” to all the staff of La Petite, who have worked TIRELESSLEY for yet another year, to care for, nurture and help develop our Gracie. Some would argue this is the nursery’s “job”, but we know you all go the extra mile, and really do put your hearts and souls into the children you are so entrusted with. Gracie absolutely LOVES being in pre-school and is a happy little girl who is “developing” well – and this is in NO small part, because of the staff at La Petite . When Gracie is happy, we are happy!

    Clare & Peter

  • Novine

Armaan has come a long way from when he first started at nursery and that’s thanks to all the great staff here!

So glad we came to La Petite Academy!

  • Nicola, Pete & Charlie

Just wanted to say thank you to La Petite and all the ladies that have worked with Charlie over the last four years.

It was a comfort to knowing we could go to work and know that he was in safe hands.

We would definitely recommend you, and use you again in the future – who knows, lol!!

I would just like to point out that over the years the nursery has gone from strength to strength. I applaud Elena’s professionalism and she is a real asset to your team. Thank you also goes out to Helen and yourself Andrea, for showing great support and empathy.

    Keely

  • Sally, Kaiden & Tiah

Thank you for all your hard work throughout the years with Tiah and Kaiden – an end to one chapter, another one begins – Thank you again!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all at La Petite for providing what I would describe as the highest quality of childcare available. Jake has thoroughly enjoyed his time at the nursery and it has done wonders for his development. From a parents perspective I have to say I’ve always felt at ease leaving Jake in the mornings knowing that he will be safe and cared for.

Jake settled in at La Petite far quicker that I expected him to and I truly believe that it was down to the fantastic team that you have on board. The team have supported Jake through several milestones such as potty training, being able to use a knife and fork, dressing himself, more recently encouraging him to sleep in his own bed. There are many more examples evident through his learning journal that both Bonnie Parker and Stephanie Barton have put in a tremendous amount of effort into. This is in contrast to the more simplistic things that make a real difference such as a hand to the car and a phone call during the day to assure me that Jake’s ok when expressing a concern during a morning drop off.

I would like to say a special thank you to Jake’s key workers Stephanie Barton and Bonnie Parker who I felt have provided both myself as a parent and Jake as a pupil an immense amount of support and attention during his time at La Petite.

That just leaves me to say I wish the team every success in the future and once again thanks for making Jake’s time at the nursery so fun and enjoyable.

I would like to take the opportunity to say thank you to you and all your wonderful, polite, pleasant and hardworking staff, for giving my little Tia a wonderful start in life. Thank you for turning my baby, as she was when she started, into a bright, clever little girl who is ready for school.

Each and every member deserves a gold medal. I always left Tia and went to work without a worry or concern, as I knew she would be well looked after.

I would recommend La Petite Academy to any parent. I wish you all success in the future. Keep up the fantastic work.

    RK Schal
