Meet The Team

• Carol Daly

  Manager

  

  Having first worked as a Nursery Nurse, I qualified as a teacher and worked in a variety of schools and  nurseries, including 8 years as a Headteacher in Derbyshire. I hold a Masters Degree in Education and the NASEN SENCO Award at Level 7, as well as being qualified in Forest Schools.
  
  I joined La Petite Academy in March 2020 as Assistant Manager with my main role being to ensure effective teaching and learning, leading to children making good progress and achieving well in all aspects of the Early Years curriculum. I became Manager in July 2022.
  
  I am the Designated Safeguarding Lead, Paediatric First Aid trained and support the nursery SENDCO.

  Assistant Manager

  

  I have been in childcare since I left school. I went straight into doing an apprenticeship and worked my way up to be to be a Deputy Manager. I have experience in every age from 6 weeks old right up to school leavers. I hold a BA HONS in Early Childhood Studies at Level 6.  I am Paediatric First Aid trained.
  I joined La Petite Academy in June 2022 as Assistant Manager with my main role being to support teaching and learning throughout the nursery.
  I am a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, and I am the nursery the Behaviour Lead and the Baby Unit Room Leader.

• Ruby Harvey

  Babies Room Leader

  

  I have been working at La Petite Academy since November 2022. I am Babies Room Leader. My qualification is the Early Years Practitioner Diploma.

• Chelsea Dakin

  Toddler Room Leader

  

  I have worked at La Petite Academy since February 2022. I am currently Toddler Room Leader. I have an NVQ Level 3 in Early Years and have my Paediatric First Aid qualification as well as being a Deputy Safeguarding Lead.

• Seren Brown

  Pre-School Room Leader

  

  I started working at La Petite Academy in 2016 as an apprentice where I gained my Level 2 qualification in childcare and carried on working here afterwards. Between 2019-2020 I took maternity leave and when I came back, I started my Level 3 qualification while working in our Baby Unit.  
  I have now completed this. I started my role as a Room Leader in June 2022, first in Baby Unit and now in Pre-School. I am also Paediatric First Aid trained and a Deputy Safeguarding Lead.

  I joined La Petite Academy in July 2024. I have a BA (Hons) in Childhood & Youth Studies, a Diploma in Children's Care, Learning & Development and a Diploma in Early Years Care & Education.
